J. Michael (known as Mike) entered the residential real estate business in San Mateo County in 1974.   Mike earned Lifetime Membership in the Million Dollar Club early in his career, and spent 15 years managing one of the Peninsula’s largest residential Real Estate Companies. In the 1980’s Mike founded Bankers Real Estate Company, one of the Peninsula’s leading real estate investment firms.  In the early 1990’s Mike re-entered the residential real estate field as a Broker and soon earned Coldwell Banker’s top Premier Status. At the start of 2007 the Horwitz Team joined the Prudential Company in their Fine Homes Division where Mike as a Broker is actively selling real estate as well as coaching and mentoring new agents in the business.  The Horwitz Team earned Prudential's Top Award, Chairman's Circle, Diamond in their first year at Prudential. Currently with Better Homes/John F. Finnegan Realtors (BHG/JF Finnegan Purchased Prudential in Fall, 2010) The Horwitz Team continues to be top performers in the company. Having grown-up and lived most of his adult life on the Peninsula, Mike knows the SF Peninsula intimately well.  Mike’s love of the business is evident in his enthusiasm and commitment.
